He repeats his erroneous claim of higher utilisation of m-ways in comparison with all railways.

Ø       Vehicle miles on motorways are estimated by the DfT, which applies a crude calculation to relate estimated total tonnes & passengers to vehicle km to arrive at freight tonnes-km & passenger km.

Ø       Data available from operators is almost worthless (see above).

Hence the conclusions are invalid.
